Dear Family and Friends,
I will be at the D.C. airport in just a few hours to board my flight to Madagascar by way of South Africa. I am really excited (and nervous) to be beginning this journey of my life. I feel that God has called me to serve in this way and I know that he will protect and provide for me.
I had the opportunity to meet the other 41 fellow Peace Corps volunteers in my group and will meet some who are already working in country when I arrive. They are from around the United States and two are from Seattle. We leave today at 5:40 ET and will arrive in Antananarivo, Madagascar on Thursday afternoon. I may not have access to internet for a few weeks when I arrive, but I will update this as soon as I am able.
Thank you to all who send lovely messages and participated in my Open House on Saturday.
Love,
Teena

If you're in Tana, there will be internet on every street corner, so we'll be impatiently awaiting your update. :D
